Waunakee Area Fire District 401 West Second Street Waunakee,Wl53597-0472 June 2023 Fire District Meeting Minutes July 31 , 2023 The Regular Monthly Meeting of the Waunakee Area Fire District was called to order by Chairman Jim Pulvermacher. Roll call showed in attendance: Jim Pulvermacher, Gary Endres, Nila Frye, John Cuccia, Robert McPherson, Chief Gary Hansen, Asst. Chief Ryan Schwab, Capt. Brian Adler, Capt. Josh McWilliams, Lt. Ryan Endres, Lt. James Anderson, Lt. Mike Meier, Bill Frederick, and Renee Meinholz. Absent: Compliance with Open Meeting Laws: The Chairperson asked if we were compliant with Open Meeting Laws, and it was determined that we were. Public Comment: Waunakee representative Nila Frye asked to read a letter that she wrote. Meeting Minutes: A motion was made by Robert McPherson and a second was made by Nila Frye to approve the June 2023 Meeting Minutes. Motion Carried. Bills: A motion was made by Gary Endres and a second was made by John Cuccia to approve the June 2023 bills as presented. Motion carried. Old Business: A. Squad 5 -A. Chief Hansen informed the Board that the committee has met with a representative from Reliant Fire (Pierce) regarding the new Squad truck. A spec has been created and we received an initial price of $1,197,785.00. Meeting again on August 8, 2023. No action taken. B. Car 2-The board was notified that the Chevy Tahoe (Car 2) had been purchased and it is in the station. The FD is still working on getting the emergency lighting and radios installed. c. Day Room Remodel -Theday room and storage room have been demoed and painted. We still need to rehang cabinets and ceiling components before any carpet can be installed. New Business: A. None Other Business: Fire Inspector's Report: Battalion Chief/Inspector Adler shared the June 2023 fire run report. Next Meeting: August 28, 2023 @ 6:30pm, at the Waunakee Fire Station. 1 Adjournment: A motion to adjourn was made by Jim Pulvermacher and a second was made by Gary Endres. Motion carried.
