Waunakee Area Fire District 401 West Second Street Waunakee, WI 53597-0472 November 2023 Fire District Meeting Minutes November 27, 2023 The Regular Monthly Meeting of the Waunakee Area Fire District was called to order by Chairperson Jim Pulvermacher. Roll call showed in attendance: Jim Pulvermacher, Nila Frye, Gary Endres, Dean Grosskoph, Robert McPherson, Chief Gary Hansen, Deputy Chief Ryan Schwab, Batt. Chief Brian Adler, Capt. Josh McWilliams, Lt. Ryan Endres, Lt. James Anderson, Lt. Mike Meier, and Renee Meinholz. Compliance with Open Meeting Laws: The Chairperson asked if we were compliant with Open Meeting Laws, and it was determined that we were. Public Comment: None Meeting Minutes: Chairperson Pulvermacher noted a correction was needed regarding his attendance at the October meeting. A motion was made by Gary Endres and a second was made by Nila Frye to approve the corrected October 2023 Meeting Minutes. Motion carried. Bills: A motion was made by Gary Endres and a second was made by Robert McPherson to approve the October 2023 bills. Motion carried. Old Business: A. Squad 5 –Paul Cardarella from the Waunakee branch of Lake Ridge was in attendance to answer questions regarding financing opportunities for the purchase of the new Squad truck. A motion was made by Robert McPherson and a second was made by Nila Frye to purchase the truck at the 100% pre-payment cost of $1,071,450. Motion carried unanimously. A motion was then made by Gary Endres and a second was made by Nila Frye to borrow $500,000 from Lake Ridge bank and to allow the Fire District Chairperson to sign the loan agreement for the purchase of the truck. Motion carried unanimously. The balance of $571,450 for the truck will come out of the district’s budgeted funds. New Business: A. No new business Other Business: None Fire Inspector’s Report: Battalion Chief/Inspector Adler shared the October fire run report. Next Meeting: January 29, 2024 @ 6:30pm, at the Waunakee Fire Station. No December meeting due to the Holidays. Adjournment: A motion to adjourn was made by Gary Endres and a second was made by Nila Frye. Motion carried.
