VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE WAUNAKEE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION (WEDC) 500 W. MAIN STREET November 14, 2011 - 6:00 PM MINUTES CALL TO ORDER-John Laubmeier called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. PRESENT: John Laubmeier, Phil Willems, Geoff Vine, Tom Bruenig, Al Dassow, Kevin Phelps, Sue Springman, and David Dean. ABSENT: ALSO PRESENT: Roberta Baumann, Dave Ferris, John Berthelsen, Mike Harrigan APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Motion Dassow, second Dean, to approve the minutes from the October 10, 2011 meeting. Motion Passed PRESENTATIONS 1. Local Business Presentation: Suttle-Straus Tim Schell arrived at 6:05 p.m. 2. Ehlers Presentation-Donor Tax Increment Financing District Options Time Schell left at 7:13 p.m. NEW BUSINESS 1. CONSIDER IN BUSINESS MAGAZINE INSERT FOR 2012. Motion Dassow, second Dean, motion passed: to take this project a step further by directing staff to request a draft contractual agreement between the Village and InBusiness Magazine for a February 2012 insert. Al Dassow arrived at 6:08 p.m. 2. PROPOSAL FROM ADY VOLTEDGE FOR 2012 BRAND MARKETING. No action required. The commission reviewed the proposal, but heard from Todd that the proposal for this project is no longer needed. Will be using InBusiness Magazine’s services for the insert. 3. REVIEW OF BUSINESS PARK PROPERTY OWNERSHIP & AVAILABILITY. No action required. A map of the business park was compiled with who owns what lots. The commission would like to use something similar in their marketing and promotion of the Industrial Park. ADJOURN Motion Dean, second Phelps, to adjourn the WEDC meeting at 7:25 p.m. Motion passed.
