Waunakee Housing Task Force Session Ten Agenda 7/11/2019, 5:30 - 7:30 pm Location: Village Center, Room TBD Task Force Charge: The Village Board has created the Waunakee Housing Task Force to gain a full understanding of the existing housing inventory in Waunakee, identify areas of realistic housing need in which the Waunakee housing marketplace ought provide supply, and craft potential policy modifications. Please arrive at least 5 minutes early so that we can begin on time! Pre-work: 1) Review Waunakee Ordinance 133_16 document 2) Review Waunakee Housing Task Force Consensus Decisions 3) Review “Draft Waunakee Housing Task Force Report” **Pages 18-22 contain important information for target related decisions** From June Meeting, Please Review 4) Review “June Deliberation Survey Results” (slide summary of deliberation survey) 5) Review “Waunakee Housing Resident Survey Results 4 June 2019” Purpose (for today’s session): (1) Utilize results of deliberation survey in decision-making (3) Discuss recommendations to forward to the Plan Commission to increase the supply of affordable housing in Waunakee. Anticipated Outcomes: (1) Decide on strategy/policy recommendations. (2) Determine goal for the number of units (at various income levels) to recommend that the Village of Waunakee strive to build. Agenda: 1) Policy / process / strategy recommendations 2) Recommendation for Policy 2.5 – a) Task Force to provide an opinion/advisement on policy which requires that new development not contain more than 25 percent attached units. Redevelopment projects and senior housing projects are exempt from this policy. 3) Affirm and edit consensus recommendations as determined by June Deliberation Survey Results a) Consensus recommendations could be considered as those recommendations that scored an average of 8.0 or greater. The Task Force will also consider for recommendation those that scored 7.0 or greater, and discuss other recommendations as needed. 4) Consensus discussion regarding recommended number of units 5) Adjourn
