Presentations of Mapping Systems The water/sewer manager and electric superintendent made presentations of the new mapping systems. Incentive Electric Rate for New and Existing Customers The commission was provided an overview of a new rate category that WPPI is developing which is designed to offer discounted electric rates to customers looking to expand or for new customers looking to locate their facilities in member communities. The rate is still going through the conceptual review process by the Public Service Commission. Overall, the commission expressed support for this new rate and it will be brought back to the commission for consideration once the Public Service Commission finalizes the remaining rate details. 2 National Publicity Regarding Water Quality The general manager provided information about water quality issues being discussed nationally and the various information the utility has distributed to customers about this topic. Staff is not aware of any utility-owned water mains or laterals containing lead. Village-Wide Construction Projects No projects were discussed this month. Electric Superintendent’s Report The electric superintendent reported on the various projects being worked on. General Manager’s Report The general manager discussed pH matters with a customer, 16 disconnections for nonpayment, the amount of water reported as unaccounted for in the 2015 PSC Annual Report, and the status of the maternity leave for an employee. Financial Statements The March financial statements were presented. Consolidated operating income for the month is $76,000 below budget but $6,000 over budget for the year to date.
