VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE WAUNAKEE TOURISM COMMISSION 500 West Main Street May 22, 2018 - 9:00 AM Meeting Minutes CALL TO ORDER Adam Bentley called the meeting to order at 9:04 a.m. ROLL CALL Present: Ellen Schaaf, Brian Gardner, Ashley Olson, Todd Schmidt Absent: Tess Komar Also Present:), Adam Bentley (Assistant Village Administrator) MINUTES Approve February 12, 2018 Meeting Minutes Motion by Brian Gardner, second by Ellen Schaaf, to approve the minutes Motion Passed. For: 4- Ellen Schaaf, Brian Gardner, Ashley Olson, Tess Komar. Against 0 Absent:1- Tess Komar. NEW BUSINESS 1. Creative Economy Initiative Sarah Bluvas, Creative Economy Intern, presented on the final report of the creative economy initiative for Waunakee. 2. Tourism Assessment Options Bentley spoke about conducting a self-assessment on tourism and asking the State for assistance. It was decided that Adam would arrange for a conversation to learn more about what the state can do and report back to the group at our next Tourism Commission meeting. CORRESPONDENCE ADJOURN Motion by Ellen Schaaf, second by Ashely Olson, to adjourn at 9:50 a.m. Motion Passed. For: 4- Ellen Schaaf, Brian Gardner, Ashley Olson. Against: 0. Absent: 1- Tess Komar.
