EMS Commission Meeting Minutes Meeting Date: September 11, 2025 The Meeting was Called to order by Chair Dean Grosskopf at 7:00 pm. Public / Membership Appearances  None Review / Approve Minutes  The minutes of the regular August 2025 EMS Commission Meeting were reviewed. A motion to approve the August 2025 EMS Commission Meeting Minutes was made by Haag, second by Schmidt. Motion carried 6/0. Review / Approve Expenditure Statements  The expenditure statement for August 2025 were reviewed. A motion to approve the August 2025 Expenditure Statement as presented was made by Meinholz, second by Haag. Motion carried 6/0.  Chief’s Report Austin has been fully onboarded and is doing great. We have two new part-time employees that are currently in their training and doing well. We have one part-time and one volunteer interview coming up in the next couple of weeks with a possible second volunteer interview to be added yet. I will be posting the 2026 “Kelly shift” position towards the end of September. We have both front-line ambulances running well. The new ambulance will get delivered the morning of Friday, September 12. After they move over the power load system, they will take the current ambulance with them as a trade in. It will take a couple weeks, maybe a little more, to get the new one fully up and running. If any of you are interested in stopping by to see the new ambulance, feel free. I will be setting up a small “push-in” ceremony to put the new one in service that you will all be invited to if you are interested/able. Our current phone system as started failing. As we looked into new options, we decided to go with the TDS phone system as an add on to our current Internet and phone plan with them. This will be fully switched over on 9/23. The equipment itself was free and the ongoing support costs actually brought down our monthly TDS bill. I was able to speak with Administrator Gadow from Middleton. He is still interested in having a meeting with our commission and their Council. He was hoping we could find a date in November, after the bulk of the budget season for everyone. More to come on this as we get closer. Old Business  Short discussion regarding the proposed 2026 Operating Budget. No action taken. New Business  None Miscellaneous Business / Forthcoming Events  Village of Dane has new Village Administrator. Hiring new Clerk for start of the year. Next EMS Commission Meeting is scheduled for October 9, 2025 at 7:00 pm at the EMS Station. A motion to adjourn was made by Meinholz, second by Cable. Motion carried 6/0 at 7:29pm.
