Chairperson Wilke called the meeting to order at 7:32 PM.

ORDINANCES FOR ADOPTION CONSIDERATION
1. Ordinance amending the Official Zoning Map of the City of Wauwatosa 23-1055
from Special Purpose - Public Facilities District (SP-PUB) to Special
Purpose - Parks and Open Space District (SP-POS) at the southeast
corner of 116th Street and Gilbert Avenue for the west side park
Recommendation: Introduced December 19, 2023, for adoption consideration
Tamara Szudy, Planning & Zoning Manager, and Dave Simpson, Public Works Director, presented the
item.
RESULT: RECOMMENDED FOR ADOPTION

2. Ordinance amending Secs. 24.03.030, 24.03.040 and 24.07.030 of the 23-1306
Wauwatosa Municipal Code related to building height for C2 zoned
properties
Recommendation: Introduced December 19, 2023, for adoption consideration

Discussion was had regarding the item.
Public Comments
Erika Sanders, Metro Fair Housing Council, supports the item
Indy Stluka, 746 N 112th St, made a comment on the item to keep /increase unit density and supports the
height limit in C2 zone
Brian Randall, 204 N 86th St, is opposed
Ann Kammerer, 728 N 113th St, made a few comments on the item
Five amendments were proposed.
1. Motion by Ald Makhlouf, seconded by Ald Meindl, to amend Part II, subsection J .2.a. to change 80% to
40%. Motion failed 3-5 (Dubinski, Franzen, Lowe, Morgan and Wilke voted no).
2. Motion by Ald Makhlouf, seconded by Ald Meindl, to amend Part III to change " P" to "C". Motion
failed 4-4 (Dubinski, Lowe, Morgan and Wilke voted no).
3. Motion by Ald Makhlouf, seconded by Ald Meindl, to amend Part I to amend minimum lot area per unit
in the table in 24.03.030 B. to 726 sq. ft.(60 units per acre). Motion failed 2-6 (Dubinski, Franzen, Lowe,
Morgan, O'Reilly, and Wilke voted no).
4. Motion by Ald Lowe, seconded by Ald Morgan, to eliminate Part II . Motion failed 2-6 (Dubinski,
Franzen, Makhlouf, Meindl, O'Reilly and Wilke voted no).
5. Motion by Ald Meindl, seconded by Ald Franzen, to amend Part II, subsection J .2.a to strike "20% or
more" and replace it with "a specified percentage of", strike "80 % or below the" and replace it with "the
corresponding", and add at the end of the sentence "as shown in the table below:

Motion failed 4-4 (Dubinski, Lowe, Morgan and Wilke voted no).
