Adjournment 1 Tree Board - Meeting Minutes Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 6:00 PM Council Chambers The Tree Board regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers at Town Hall, 30 S. Main Street, Weaverville, N.C. 1. 0B Call to Order Tree Board Members Present: Chairman Russ Kantner, Inger Stallman Jorgensen, Patrice Sheehan, William Mobley, Pauline Griffith and Andrew Shelton. Absent: Gary Harmon, Caleb Hudson Staff Present: Town Clerk Tamara Mercer 2. 1B Adopt or Amend Agenda Inger Stallman Jorgensen moved to adopt the agenda. Carried unanimously. 6-0. 3. 2B Approval of Meeting Minutes 2025-9-3 Pauline Griffith moved to adopt the September 3, 2025 Tree Board meeting minutes. Carried unanimously. 6-0. 4. 3B Old Business- Davey Group Tree Survey Ms. Mercer reported that the Davey Group kick-off meeting included Public Works Department supervisor, David Fisher, Pauline Griffith as well as the Davey Group team members. Arborist Riley Edins reviewed the process and timeline for collecting the data and providing the report. The tree inventory began on Oct 27th. Tree planting methods, species, caliper sizes, Public Works landscaping crews' procedures and process were discussed. Invasive species in the Nature Park is of major concern. 2 5. 4B Music Concert Series Public Education Pauline stated that NC State agent Alison Arnold's invasive species workshop is informative. Arboretum Extension, Biltmore invasive species methods such as goat herding as an eco- friendly method was discussed. Several members will follow-up with contacts who are educators in order to schedule public educational workshops in the spring. 6. 5B Adjournment There being no further business Chairman Kantner adjourned the meeting at 7:10 p.m. Tamara Mercer, Town Clerk 3  TOWN OF WEAVERVILLE TREE BOARD AGENDA ITEM MEETING DATE: Nov. 5, 2025 SUBJECT: Davey Resource Group PRESENTER: Tamara Mercer ATTACHMENTS: reference excel spreadsheet, due to database size and format, the full document is not attached here DESCRIPTION: Davey Resource Group data collection Davey Group Arborist, Riley Eddins submitted the raw data excel spreadsheet containing the field reports in the ArcGIS geodatabase zip files. These being the preliminary results, the Town is currently awaiting the Davey team’s completed compilation report to include the tree canopy analysis and assessment report. 4
