Planning & Dev., Staff Liaison X PUBLIC HEARINGS: None. REGULAR MEETING: 1. Approval of Minutes – June 11, 2019 -- Bill Stancil moved to approve the June minutes; seconded by Mike McClorey; motion passed by unanimous vote. 2. Visitor Comments – n/a NEW BUSINESS: 1. New HPC Members– Introduction and welcoming of new HPC members, Brendan Barash and Steven Stovall. 2. Future HPC projects- Roundtable discussion regarding possible HPC projects, promising subjects and formats, topics covered in HPC's existing research/project files kept in its binders. Mara Perry will bring the binders to the next meeting. Possible project ideas suggested during initial discussion included: new designations (i.e. Tuxedo Park, Old Orchard), new walking tour brochure (i.e. commercial areas), informational sessions or presentations (i.e. kit homes, walks, designation). OLD BUSINESS: 1. Update on Code Amendments- HPC Code amendments passed without issue. HPC discussed implementation of new code provisions, with Mara Perry distributing initial drafts of new and/or revised forms prepared by staff, reflecting new requirements and procedure under amended HPC code provisions. 2. Lecture Series - No grant application submitted this term as HPC considers existing and future projects. 3. Monument Project - Douglas Manor monument was successfully installed and has been well-received by residents and visitors alike. The HPC is delighted to have accomplished this project commemorating such an important part of our City's history and its essence as a community. 4. Other business- City Councilwoman Laura Arnold distributed a copy of Webster Groves' Statement of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, recently approved by the Webster Groves City Council. Mike McClorey moved to adjourn the meeting; motion was seconded by Bill Stancil and passed by unanimous vote.
