Pg 1 NEW BUSINESS: Demolition Request - 9 Hammel Avenue – Single Family  The existing single-family dwelling was built in 1930  The City has found no records pertaining to a historic property inventory sheet for the subject property.  The property has not been previously identified as an at-risk property that should be looked at for a possible designation.  The structure is a 1 ½ story bungalow, identified at approximately 1,440 square feet in gross floor area.  The applicant has submitted photographs identifying existing conditions of the structure’s interior and exterior  The applicant purchased the property in September 2014 to $200,000 and has used it as a rental property.  The property had been owned by the previous owner since the 1950s. Staff recommends approval of the request to demolish the existing single-family dwelling structure at the subject property without holding the request for additional review. Motion to approve by Michael Rose; and second by Sue Indelicato; unanimous 7-0. OLD BUSINESS : The HPC committee discussed the Lustron Homes Historic District Nomination and 2023 new year schedule. Mara advised, that they have flexibility to change the February date is needed. A brief discussion was held on last months presentation and that no one reached out for additional information. However, Mara informed the Commission that letters would go out two additional times as a part of the Nomination process. She also explained the findings of fact information that has to be gathered. The Commission agreed with moving forward on the scheduling that was formatted with a plan for Public Hearing on January 10th. Councilmember Shephard shared City updates and invited everyone to participate in the surveys online for the Aquatic Center and Strategic Planning.
