ROOFTOP LIGHTING Streib will be doing the repairs to the rooftop lights at The Novel Neighbor today; then work on the new installation on the property housing Blue Dahlia will take place next followed by the Hagan Properties. Streib honored the price quotes from work done in the past; so no increase. HOLIDAY FESTIVAL UPDATE Everything is set – Santa and Mrs. Claus; includes a photo wall and for the kid’s a token for a kid’s hot chocolate along with a candy cane. The Show Starters youth musical performance is all set, followed by the “lighting” of Gazebo Park. Twenty businesses have said they are participating. The businesses have been requested to share what their plans are so they can then in turn be shared on social media. COMMISSION 2024 MEETING SCHEDULE The Commission will continue to meet at 8:00 AM on the second Tuesday of the month except for December; dates are January 9, February 13, March 12, April 9, May 14, June 11, July 9, August 13, September 10, October 8, November 12, no meeting in December. OFFICER ELECTIONS Commission Officer Elections will take place in January; it will be an annual January occurrence after that. Page 1 of 2 BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION (BDC) UPDATE • The next Business Coffee will be held in February, 2024. • The Green Dining Program should roll out to the restaurants at the beginning of next year. CITY/COUNCIL UPDATE • City Council did not approve the buyout of the four designated homes damaged by flooding. • A tool showing the breakdown of property taxes is available on the City’s website - https://www.webstergrovesmo.gov/101/Property-Tax Next Meeting – January 9, 2024 Adjournment – Meeting adjourned at 8:17 AM.
