Report from Members on AID Meeting in November
Katy Miller and Dr. Scott Groesch briefly commented on the
Discussion AID meeting they attended on November 16th 2019
Meeting was uncontentious and cordial, Capt. Greg Perks
did a nice job representing the WGPD
“Small Group” notes were discussed in generality.
Off agenda discussion of how economic factors add to
disparity rates and how the PCEB could engage a community
group to offer assistance to violators for things such as
equipment violations and registration violations was held.

Review of January 6th 2020 Public Service Statement by
WGPD
Discussion John Thomas asked about doorbell camera registry
D.C. replied that all registration is strictly voluntary
D.C. briefly discussed the proximity factors that can lead to
WG being a target for car “break in” and reviewed the
manpower response that the WGPD has in place.
Kevin Sombart commented that he liked the statement by the
PD and asked if the statement was sent to the WKT
D.C. confirmed that the statement was posted online on
social media and was sent along with the weekly crime
report to WKT

Review of PCEB Survey for any Corrections
Discussion Gerry Welch commented that the questions as written lacked
“engagement” and as a Community Engagement Board the
survey as written would not provide information on how the
community can engage with the PD
Dr. Scott Groesch commented that it would to good to have
realtime information provide as a Board member was
interacting with a potential community group which would
require a revision to all questions on the survey.
Conclusions Survey questions will be revised by Kevin Sombart with e-
mail input from the board prior to next meeting to make the
responses more engaging and interactive

survey distribution
Discussion John Thomas provided a list he received form CRO Fred Bell
and discussion was had regarding how board members
would reach out to the groups once survey information was
finalized
General discussion of ranking the list by size of groups to
keep it manageable
