Discussion was had and the date was moved to October 23rd due to board member conflicts. Mayor Gerry Welch will ask Ivory Crockett to attend the event. Subcommittee will continue planning. Conclusions Action Items Person Deadline Responsible Update Reservation Cundy Neu Next Meeting Contact Ivory Crockett Mayor Gerry Next Welch Meeting Agenda Item 5 Mission/Vision Development: Develop a Mission Statement (PDF of Power Point Attached)  Winning idea  SWOT  Clarify Goal  Write Statement Discussion Discussion was had regarding the need for a mission statement and how to develop using WHY Statement and SWOT Method The following ideas were presented by Board members including but not limited to WHY Statements A.B. – Strengthen relationships between Police and Community K.S. – Free Exchange of Ideas S.G. – Promote AntiRacism K.S. – Promote Healing A.B.- Listening and Service ○ Strengths minutes S.G. – Board has good communication and commitment K.S. – Board is welcoming of Participants G.W. – Board is good at modeling respect ○ Weaknesses A.B. – Board is not strong at marketing K.S. – Board is relatively new S.G. Board has been hampered by Covid19 Pandemic K.S. – Community is unaware of the Boards existence ○ Opportunities D.C. – Returning to live meetings C.N. Engage with young people more K.S. Share survey results with community S.G. Use survey results to guide the direction of the Board A.B. Adjourn Due to St. Louis County health regulations, the July 27, 2021, Police Community Engagement Board Meeting will be available to the public only via teleconference. Instructions on listening through your phone or computer to the teleconference will be available prior to the meeting at webstergroves.org/teleconference.
