Review of Police Policy
Discussion Captain Greg Perks reviewed the department active shooter policy and discussed
the department MacTac training and 4E training. Captain Perks advised the
committee the WGPD provides active shooter instruction to the school district and
local businesses, upon their request. Emerson Smith discussed the training

Universities coordinated response to potential physical and online threats. Lexie
and Emerson contemplated the possibility of the PCEB working with the business
districts to provide training to active shooter situations. Captain Perks suggested a

Conclusions 1. Jenny will be invited to an upcoming meeting and a representative will be
chosen at that time.
2. No follow-up with N. Webster Coalition, discussion was had regarding the
difficulties surrounding community interest and participation in all Boards
and Commissions. Emerson Smith informed the board of a WRHM
sponsored Healthcare event on 7/23/22 and thought it would be a good way
for the PCEB to introduce themselves to the community.
3. Lexi would like a shared calendar to outline duties and timelines as well as
community events the PCEB could participate in. Calander creation and
maintenance will be added to the next agenda. Emerson said he would
contact the city to see if the new Outlook platform could support calendar
and e-mail accounts for the PCEB

5. Per Katy the WKT article about the PCEB is in production and should come
out in July.
6. Kevin suggested that communication and a method of review and assigning
PCEB tasks should be on the next scheduled agenda.
