CALL TO ORDER Committee Chair Jane Cleveland called the meeting to order at 6:19 pm. Ms. Cleveland, Dr. Sergio Guerreiro, Carol Cohen, and Dr. Rachel Eidelman were present. Dr. Kristy Lund arrived late. Robert Bushey and John Wash were absent. Staff present: Robert Basehart, Michael O'Dell, David Flinchum, J. Higbee, and Ryan Harding II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE III. REMARKS BY COMMITTEE CHAIR Ms. Cleveland asked Mr. Basehart for an update on the Equestrian Commercial Floating Zoning District applications. IV. ADDITIONS/DELETIONS/REORDERING OF AGENDA Ms. Cleveland stated that in addition to the Equestrian Plan of Action, the committee would also be discussing the draft of Section 6.10 of Wellington's Land Development Regulations (LDR) which was provided to the committee at the January meeting. V. APPROVAL OF THE JANUARY 4, 2017 EQUESTRIAN PRESERVE COMMITTEE MINUTES Dr. Guerreiro made a motion to approve the January 4, 2017 Equestrian Preserve Committee minutes. Dr. Eidelman seconded the motion and it passed unanimously (4-0). Dr. Lund had not yet arrived at the meeting. Mr. Bushey and Mr. Wash were absent. VI. WORKSHOP - Equestrian Plan of Action Mr. O'Dell stated that in light of the fact that the LDR are still being drafted and the Equestrian Competition Floating District is being proposed, it might be beneficial to put the Plan of Action on hold temporarily until more information is known regarding the LDR and the proposed zoning changes. Dr. Lund arrived at the meeting at 6:29 p.m. after Mr. O'Dell started reviewing the Equestrian Plan of Action. Mr. Flinchum and Mr. Higbee discussed the draft of Section 6.10 of Wellington's LDR with the committee. VII. PUBLIC COMMENTS Denise Waller of 11781 West Rambling Drive stated the residents like Little Ranches the way it is and do not want people to be able to subdivide the lots. Steve Hainline of 11949 Acme Road asked for clarification on the ability to rebuild on a non-conforming lot after a natural disaster. Cynthia Garnder of 13268 Polo Club Road asked about illegal parking in rights-of-way and swales with regard to temporary parking such as for private lessons or landscaping services. X. ADJOURNMENT Dr. Guerreiro made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Ms. Cohen and approved unanimously (5-0). The meeting adjourned at 8:00 pm. Mr. Bushey and Mr. Wash were absent.
