II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA This was approved III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES PR15-002 Approve Meeting Minutes - 10/9/14 The minutes from the meeting on October 9, 2014 was approved unanimously. PR15-003 Approve Meeting Minutes - 12/1/14 The minutes from the meeting on December 1, 2014 were approved unanimously. IV. PRESENTATION PR15-001 Presentation of Student Artists Due to a lack of submissions, there were no artists to present. V. OLD BUSINESS VI. NEW BUSINESS PR15-004 Discussion of 2015-16 Land and Water Conservation Program (LWCF) grant application in the amount of $200,000 for the improvements to the Community Center Complex Mr. DeLaney gave a brief presentation concering the desire of the Village to seek funding for improvements to the Wellington Community Center from the Land and Water Conservation Grant. Mr. Fleming made a motion to move forward with the application and Dr. Zipp made the second. The motion was approved 4-0. VII. PUBLIC COMMENTS VIII. BOARD COMMENTS Mr. DeLaney presented the findings of the intenal auditor concerning sports providers. A copy of the report was distributed to the board. Mr. DeLaney gave an update on the new Tennis Center - the project is on schedule. He also mentioned that all programs from the Community Center Village of Wellington Page 1 Parks & Recreation Advisory Board Action Summary February 23, 2015 have been moved to Village Park. Mr. Wenham commented that the Garden Club was complimentary of the staff concerning the move. Mr. DeLaney announced the Little League Opening Day on Saturday, February 28 and the Kids Triathlon on March 1st. He also mentioned the Wellington Wolves basketball tournament March 6-8 and the Wellington Colts Baseball tournament March 20-22. Mr. Wenham announced that he gave a presentation on Parks and Recreation to the Young Professionals recently. Mr. DeLaney had assisted in providing information. Mr. Wenham mentioned the Garden Club plant sale at the Amphitheater. There were no further Board Comments. IX. CLOSING COMMENTS X. ADJOURNMENT This was approved NOTICE Village of Wellington Page 2
