PSC-052 APPROVAL OF AGENDA An agenda for the September 28, 2016 regular meeting has been provided for your review and approval. IV Approval of Minutes A. PSC-048 APPROVAL OF THE MINUTUES OF THE JUNE 22, 2016 REGULAR MEETING Attachments: 06.22.16D The last meeting of the Public Safety Committee took place on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 beginning at 7:00 p.m. The minutes of that meeting are attached for your review and approval. V Reports A. PSC-049 STAFF REPORT Ed De La Vega will provide a report on the current and upcoming public safety related items and issues including a Community Services update. Mr. De La Vega will also respond to Committee questions or concerns. B. PSC-050 PALM BEACH COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORT Captain Silva of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office District 8 Wellington will provide an update on current crime trends and statistics. Captain Silva will provide a brief synopsis of the District's Semi Annual report presented to Council in August. He will also respond to questions regarding public safety related matters and concerns. In addition, Wellington's newly added Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Deputies will be in attendance. PBSO staff will provide a brief introduction and outline their specific duties. C. PSC-051 PALM BEACH COUNTY FIRE RESCUE REPORT District Chief Sam Eaton of Palm Beach County Fire Rescue will provide an update on current happenings as well as present the most recent Response Time Reports. Chief Eaton will also be available to respond to questions regarding public safety related matters and concerns. VI New Business A. PSC-053 PRESENTATION OF SR80/SOUTHERN BOULEVARD EXPANSION PROJECT Jim Barnes, Wellington's Deputy City Manager, will present information on the upcoming expansion of SR80/Southern Boulevard / Forest Hill Boulevard intersection being undertaken by the Florida Department of Transportation. Mr. Barnes will present the proposed project design and details which were presented to the Village Council on Tuesday, September 27th by representatives of FDOT and Inwood Consulting Engineers.
