PSC-072 APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES OF THE MARCH 22, 2017 REGULAR MEETING Attachments: Meeting Minutes March 22 2017 Draft The last meeting of the Public Safety Committee took place on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 beginning at 7:00 p.m. The minutes of that meeting are attached for your consideration and approval. VIII Reports A. PSC-074 STAFF REPORT Paulette Edwards will provide an update on current and upcoming public safety items and community events from the Community Services Department. B. PSC-075 PALM BEACH COUNTY FIRE RESCUE REPORT Battalion Chief Ernst Muller of Palm Beach County Fire Rescue will provide an update on current happenings within Fire Rescue as well as reviewing the most recent Response Time Reports. C. PSC-076 PALM BEACH COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE DISTRICT 8 WELLINGTON REPORT Attachments: 2017 05 Strat Review Rpt (PDF 20170607) Lt. Eli Shaivitz of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office District 8 Wellington substation will provide an update on current crime trends and statistics along with a brief overview of the most recent Strategic Review Report from May 2017 (attached). He will also respond to questions and concerns regarding public safety related matters. PSC-078 CONTINUED DISCUSSION OF GOLF CARTS At the March 22, 2017 meeting of the Public Safety Committee, members discussed the use of golf carts within the Village and possible methods of enforcement and regulation. The members voted to table the discussion and bring it back on the next regular meeting agenda for continued discussion. X New Business A. The Committee is tasked with review of the nominations and selection of the winners for this year's awards. Representatives from both agencies will be present to respond to questions from the Committee. One winner will be selected from each agency.
