Village of Wellington Council Meeting Minutes Hans Schneider, Mayor Council: President Sandy Denes, Mark Bughman, Helen Dronsfield, Gene Hartman, Keith Rowland and Guy Wells Council Chambers Saturday February 13, 2016 10:00 AM 1. Pledge of Allegiance – Mayor Schneider called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance. 2. ROLL CALL Councilman Mark Bughman – Present Councilman Gene Hartman – Present Council President Sandy Denes – Present Councilman Keith Rowland – Present Councilwoman Helen Dronsfield – Absent Councilman Guy Wells – Present Others Present – Mayor Schneider, Village Manager Pyles, Finance Director Hales, Clerk of Council O’Brien, Enterprise Reporter Gabe, Thomas Wichert, and Jamie Wichert 3. NEW BUSINESS · INSURANCE RENEWAL PROPOSALS – The insurance renewal proposals were presented and discussed. Motion by Wells, 2nd Denes by to enter into agreement with Wichert Insurance to provide property and liability insurance for the village during 2016, to be provided by, Scottsdale Indemnity Co., Hartford Steam Boiler and QBE Specialty Insurance Co. in the amount of $111,396, to be paid from 101-300-52300, 501-510-52300, 502-520-52300, and 503-530-52300. Roll call vote was taken with all members present voting “yes”. 4. ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS ORDINANCE NO. 2016-06 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT FOR PROPERTY AND LIABILITY INSURANCE AND PROVIDING FOR AN IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE DATE 1st Reading nd Motion by Wells, 2 by Denes to suspend the rules. Roll call vote was taken with all members voting “yes”. Motion by Wells, 2nd by Denes to approve as read. Roll call vote was taken with all members present voting “yes”. 5. Executive Session – Motion by Denes, 2nd by Wells to enter into executive session to discuss personnel at 11:25 AM. Roll call vote was taken with all members present voting “yes”. Motion by Denes, 2nd by Wells to continue the council meeting at 11:43 AM. Roll call vote was taken with all members present voting “yes”. 6. ADJOURN – Motion by Denes, 2nd by Wells to adjourn at 11:43 AM
