Village of Wellington Council Meeting Minutes Hans Schneider, Mayor Council: President Sandy Denes, Mark Bughman, Helen Dronsfield, Gene Hartman, Keith Rowland and Guy Wells Council Chambers Wednesday October 12, 2016 5:05 p.m. 1. Pledge of Allegiance – Mayor Schneider called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance. 2. Roll Call Councilman Mark Bughman – Present Councilman Gene Hartman – Present Council President Sandy Denes – Present Councilman Keith Rowland – Present Councilwoman Helen Dronsfield – Present Councilman Guy Wells – Present Other Present – Mayor Schneider, Interim VM Mark Rosemark, Dan Cwalina, Chief Barfield, Electric Supt. Dave Bealer, Public Works Supt. Bob Brasee, Marla Lent, Clerk of Council O’Brien, Steve Dupee (5:15 PM) 3. New Business · Discussion – Mayor Schneider explained how the interview would be run. Council reviewed and discussed the questions to be used in the interview. · Executive Session to discuss Employment of Personnel – Motion by Denes, 2nd by Wells to enter into executive session to discuss employment of personnel at 5:15 PM. Roll call vote was taken with all members voting “yes”. Mayor Schneider called the meeting to order at 6:30 PM. · Appointment - Mayor Schneider appointed Steve Dupee as Village Manager, at an annual salary of $107,000.00, with 4 weeks of vacation, to begin December 5, 2016, with vacation being prorated until December 31, 2016, pending back ground check and drug screen. Motion by Wells, 2nd by Denes to approve Mayor Schneider’s appointment. Roll call vote was taken with all members voting “yes”. Mr. Dupee accepted the appointment.
