MINUTES Of the Special Meeting of the WENTWORTH TOWN COUNCIL June 16, 2022 7:00 pm Meeting Held Electronically via ZOOM The Wentworth Town Council held a special meeting electronically via ZOOM, a cloud based video conferencing service, on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 7:00pm. Council Members Present: Mayor Dennis Paschal Jr., Mayor Pro Tem Evelyn Conner, Cheryl Moore, Dennis Paschal III Council Members Absent: Daryl Crowder A quorum was met. Staff Present: Yvonne Russell, Town Clerk & Finance Officer Others Present: Roy Sawyers, Rockingham Update - Media Article I. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Dennis Paschal Jr. called the meeting to order. Article II. INVOCATION Mayor Paschal gave the invocation. Article III. OLD BUSINESS A. Consideration of Notice to Proceed to Southern Disaster Recovery (SDR), for the May 6, 2022 Tornado Debris Removal Mayor Paschal Jr. made a MOTION, “We approve the Notice to Proceed to Southern Disaster Recovery (SDR), for the May 6, 2022 Tornado Debris Removal”. Mayor Pro Tem Evelyn Conner seconded the motion. Town Clerk, Yvonne Russell asked for a vote by roll call. Councilmembers Cheryl Moore, Dennis Paschal III, Mayor Dennis Paschal Jr., and Mayor Pro Tem Evelyn Conner voted in favor. The motion carried. (Note: The Notice to Proceed to Southern Disaster Recovery (SDR), for the May 6, 2022 Tornado Debris Removal is herein incorporated and made a part of these minutes.) The Clerk asked for a vote by roll call. Councilmembers Cheryl Moore, Dennis Paschal III, Mayor Dennis Paschal Jr., and Mayor Pro Tem Evelyn Conner voted in favor. The motion carried.
