City of West Allis Meeting Minutes Committee of the Whole Council President, Alderperson: Thomas G. Lajsic Alderpersons: Suzzette Grisham, Kevin Haass, Danna Kuehn, Rosalie L. Reinke, Daniel J. Roadt, Tracy Stefanski, Angelito Tenorio, Vincent Vitale, and Martin J. Weigel Tuesday, July 13, 2021 6:45 PM City Hall, Room 128 7525 W. Greenfield Ave. REGULAR MEETING A. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Council President Lajsic at 6:45 p.m. B. ROLL CALL Present 9- Grisham, Haass, Kuehn, Lajsic, Reinke, Roadt, Stefanski, Tenorio, and Weigel Excused 1- Vitale Others Present: Ed Lisinski, Director of Building Inspection & Neighborhood Services, Jason Kaczmarek, Finance Director/Comptroller; Patrick Schloss, Economic Development Executive Director; Peter Daniels, City Engineer, Jon Matte, Communications Department Director, Kail Decker, City Attorney, Mason Pooler, Fire Chief, Mike Rushmer, Forestry & Grounds Superintendent, and Gina Gresch, Deputy City Clerk. C. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. 2021-0523 Minutes (draft) of the June 15, 2021 Committee of the Whole meeting A motion was made by Stefanski, seconded by Grisham, that this matter was Approved. The motion carried unanimously. D. NEW AND PREVIOUS MATTERS 2. 2021-0042 Deliberating the repair or replacement of the Public Works Facility currently located at 6300 W. McGeoch Ave. A motion was made by Tenorio, seconded by Reinke, to convene in closed session at 6:46 p.m. pursuant to the provisions of Wis. Stat. Section 19.85(1)(e) for the purpose of deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties or the investing of public funds. The Committee of the Whole may reconvene in open session after completion of the closed session to consider the balance of the agenda. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye - 9: Lajsic, Grisham, Haass, Kuehn, Reinke, Roadt, Stefanski, Tenorio and Weigel The motion carried unanimously. The Closed Session item was discussed. A motion was made by Stefanski, seconded by Kuehn to reconvene into Open Session at 7:00 p.m. The motion carried unanimously. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Stefanski, seconded by Kuehn to adjourn the meeting at 7:00 p.m. The motion carried unanimously. All meetings of the {bdName} are public meetings. In order for the general public to make comments at the committee meetings, the individual(s) must be scheduled (as an appearance) with the chair of the committee or the appropriate staff contact; otherwise, the meeting of the committee is a working session for the committee itself, and discussion by those in attendance is limited to committee members, the mayor, other alderpersons, staff and others that may be a party to the matter being discussed.
