Lincoln Ave., on behalf of the West Allis Professional Police Association, reported on a retirement dinner and thanked Ald. Dobrowski for attending. F. ANNOUNCEMENT OF RECESS MEETINGS OF STANDING COMMITTEES Mayor Bell announced that the following Committees would meet during recess: Administration & Finance, Public Works, Safety & Development, License & Health, and Advisory. G. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS Mayor's Report Public Events: Attended: Fair Housing Poster contest. The last two Dare Graduations for this spring. A Ribbon Cutting at the Greater Milwaukee Credit Union. Spoke at the Tri Corp Dinner and received an award on behalf of the City for our partnership project at 62nd and Burnham. Gave a tour of City Hall to a class from Irving School. Held the Centennial Flag Raising Ceremony. Attended an interview by news reporters, called an ascertainment, about issues related to West Allis. Along with Alderperson Rosalie Reinke, Chair of the Celebrations Committee, and Doug Johnson, Chair of the Centennial Parade Committee, taped the latest On Site West Allis about the Centennial Parade and Festival. Intergovernmental: Attended meetings with other cities regarding County EMS Reimbursement rate and the ICC Sub Committee on Libraries. Attended a meeting with State Fair concerning plans for 2007. Announcements: A last reminder for the Centennial Dinner Dance on April 29th, the deadline is tomorrow if you haven't purchased your tickets. Tomorrow is the Centennial Health and Wellness Fair at Summit Place from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This is the start of 100 days of improving the health of our citizens. Displays and screenings are available. There is no charge, bring 5 items of food for the needy and your name is submitted for a drawing for Brewers tickets. Alderpersons Comments Ald. Dobrowski reported on the status of the cookbook going to print and it being available for sale in approximately three weeks. H.
