Czaplewski. D. PUBLIC HEARING 1. R-2015-0220 Resolution to approve the Year 2016 Operating Plan for the Downtown West Allis Business Improvement District and to adopt the Special Assessment Method as stated therein (Final). CITIZEN PARTICIPATION Robert Braun, 2160 S. 86 St., commented on the following: speeding is his neighborhood, a lawsuit regarding same sex marriages, a protest he will be attending at the Mosque on 13th and Layton, his political support, and the schools. ANNOUNCEMENT OF RECESS MEETINGS OF STANDING COMMITTEES Mayor Devine announced that the following Committees would meet during recess: Administration & Finance, Public Works, Safety & Development, License & Health, and Advisory. G. MAYOR'S REPORT Mayor Devine attended a graduation ceremony in which three individuals of the West Allis Fire Department completed the Mobile Integrated Health Care Program at UW-Milwaukee. Mayor Devine commented on several Halloween events taking place in West Allis beginning with Halloween in the Park organized by the Community Alliance Against Drugs program along with the West Allis-West Milwaukee Recreation Department, the Downtown Business Improvement District's Halloween Hunt, and the citywide Trick or Treat. Mayor Devine announced the Grand Opening of the Ultimate Salad Bar located at 10922 W. National Avenue. Mayor Devine commented on the charitable basketball game he participated in to support the West Allis Central Bulldogs Athletics featuring The Harlem Ambassadors. H. ALDERPERSON'S REPORT Ald. Vitale announced that the next Administration & Finance Committee Meeting will take place in the Common Council Chambers. Ald. Probst announced the grand opening of the new hotel in West Allis, Hampton Inn & Suites, located at 8201 W. Greenfield Ave. Ald. Roadt announced that Jack Risler died at the age of 94. Mr. Risler was decorated with the Silver Star and French Legion of Honor Medal. Ald. Weigel commented on the 2015-0216 Youth Commission which will be holding a candidate forum in the Spring of 2016 for West Allis candidates. The Commission is also looking to organize a County Executive forum. Ald. Weigel attended the Growing Sustainable Communities 8th Annual Conference where they spoke about green meetings, bioswales for bump out used for traffic calming, fiscal sustainability, and blight intervention. Berens and William Berens relative to injuries allegedly sustained at 1445 S. 84 St. on August 7, 2015.
