City of West Allis Meeting Minutes Common Council Mayor Dan Devine, Chair Alderperson Thomas G. Lajsic, Council President Alderpersons: Suzzette Grisham, Kevin Haass, Danna Kuehn, Thomas G. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Mayor Devine at 5:00 p.m. B. ROLL CALL Present 10 - Grisham, Haass, Kuehn, Lajsic, Reinke, Roadt, Stefanski, Tenorio, Vitale, and Weigel C. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Tenorio. D. ANNOUNCEMENT OF RECESS MEETINGS OF STANDING COMMITTEES New and Previous Matters referred to Committees may be considered and acted upon by Committees during the Common Council recess. Unless otherwise announced during the meeting, the standing Committees of the Common Council (Administration & Finance and Advisory) will meet during a recess of the virtual Common Council meeting. E. MAYOR'S REPORT Mayor Devine reminded all to complete the Census as West Allis is at 68% participation. F. ALDERPERSON'S REPORT None. G. COMMON COUNCIL RECESS A motion was made by Lajsic, seconded by Grisham, that the Council recess until completion of the Standing Committee meetings. The motion carried unanimously. Thereupon, the Council took a recess at 5:06 p.m. Upon returning from recess at 5:59 p.m., and the roll call being taken, the following were present: Present 10 - Grisham, Haass, Kuehn, Lajsic, Reinke, Roadt, Stefanski, Tenorio, Vitale, and Weigel H. R-2020-0275 Resolution relative to accepting the proposal of South Central Planning and Development Commission for furnishing software, maintenance, and implementation of MyGovernmentOnline permit and licensing software for a two-year total sum not to exceed $75,000 Sponsors: Administration & Finance Committee Attachments: BINS - MYGOVTONLINE AGRMT- Final (2) This matter was Adopted on a Block Vote. 3. 2020-0330 Communication from the Mayor, City Attorney and Health Commissioner regarding State and Local Orders and other matters related to COVID - 19 · “Local Health Plan for Milwaukee County” This matter was Placed on File on a Block Vote. Passed The Block Vote A motion was made by Haass, seconded by Lajsic, to approve all the actions on item nos. 1 and 3 on a Block Vote. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 10 - Grisham, Haass, Kuehn, Lajsic, Reinke, Roadt, Stefanski, Tenorio, Vitale, and Weigel No: 0 2. R-2020-0278 Resolution authorizing the transfer and use of funds required to remodel the front lobby area of City Hall to create a customer service center Sponsors: Administration & Finance Committee Attachments: R-2020-0278 marked up copy City Hall Remodel A motion was made by Haass, seconded by Kuehn, that this matter was Adopted As Amended. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 8- Haass, Kuehn, Lajsic, Reinke, Roadt, Tenorio, Vitale, and Weigel No: 2- Grisham, and Stefanski ADVISORY COMMITTEE 4. R-2020-0272 Resolution relative to the location of the City of West Allis polling places beginning with the August 11, 2020 election Sponsors: Advisory Committee 5. 2020-0324 Appointment of Ald. Martin J. Weigel and Reappointment of Ald. Kevin Haass by Mayor Devine and to the West Allis Community Development Authority, their four-year terms to expire April 21, 2024 Attachments: HAASS.CDA WEIGEL CDA This matter was Approved on a Block Vote. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 10 - Grisham, Haass, Kuehn, Lajsic, Reinke, Roadt, Stefanski, Tenorio, Vitale, and Weigel No: 0 I. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Lajsic, seconded by Vitale, to adjourn at 6:06 p.m., with the next regularly scheduled meeting to be held on May 19, 2020, at 7:00 p.m The motion carried unanimously.
