REGULAR MEETING
A. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Mr. Gracyalny at 5:01 p.m.

C. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. 22-0002 December 8, 2021 (draft) Minutes

Hart moved, seconded by Gracyalny to Approved this matter, motion carried.
D. NEW AND PREVIOUS MATTERS
2. 22-0003 Consideration relative to the Financial Report for the period ending 2/8/22
presented by Devan Gracyalny, Vice Chair/Treasurer
Mr. Gracyalny reported that the current balance on hand is $6,369.79.
There is need for a new furnace in the attic of the Log Cabin, approximate cost will be
$2,500 - $3,500.
E. MATTERS FOR DISCUSSION/ACTION
3. 21-0618 Report from the West Allis Historical Society
Mr. Gracyalny reported the back door has been installed and the front door is being
made and will be installed within the next few weeks.
Banner project is underway, displaying old banners, within the West Allis Historical
Society building.
Set up to make soup on April 14th at First Presbyterian Church at 2:00 p.m.
4. 21-0619 Status Reports - Historical Commission Projects and Activities

St. Paul's Lutheran School has asked to bring a class for a field trip to the West Allis
Historical Society Museum and the Honey Creek Log Schoolhouse.
Mr. Mueller will coordinate getting a docent.
Ms. Wolfe is unable to participate in this event, she has asked Jeannette Bell as well.
B. Mayor Devine stated Chelsea Famularo is interested in doing a Halloween related
event which ties in the Honey Creek Cemetery.
5. 21-0620 Discussion regarding replacing the Allis Chalmers Historic Information
Sign which is located on the northeast corner of S. 70 St. and W.
Greenfield Ave.
National Sign and Design will take the wording for signage and bill upon completion.
6. 21-0621 Discussion regarding the Honey Creek Cemetery
No update to report.
7. 21-0622 Discussion status of new doors on the historical society building
No update to report.
8. 22-0181 Discussion in regards to demolition of the former Motor Castings Foundry
located at 1323 S. 65 St. and 6500 W. Washington St. and the potential
preservation of the building located on the northeast corner of the 6500 W.
Washington St. site
Mr. Mueller presented an update and outline of this project.
F. ADJOURNMENT
A motion was made by Ms. Wolfe, seconded by Ms. Hart to adjourn the meeting
at 5:51 p.m. The motion carried by the following vote.
