A. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Chair Vitale at 6:00 p.m.
B. ROLL CALL
Present 5- Vitale, Grisham, Reinke, Roadt, and Stefanski
Others present: Martin Weigel, Alderperson, 2nd District, James Cato, Sergeant, West
Allis Police Department, Nicholas Cerwin, Assistant City Attorney, Kail Decker, City
Attorney, and Rebecca Grill, City Administrator.
C. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
1. 2020-0277 Minutes (draft) of the License & Health regular meeting of March 11, 2020, recess
meetings of March 17, 2020 and April 22, 2020

A motion was made by Ald. Roadt, seconded by Ald. Grisham, to approve the Minutes (draft) of
the License & Health regular meeting of March 11, 2020, recess meetings of March 17, 2020
and April 22, 2020. The motion carried unanimously.
D. NEW AND PREVIOUS MATTERS
2. 2020-0271 Police Department Report regarding tavern violations/calls for service for the month of
February 2020

This matter was Recommended to be Placed on File on a Block Vote.
3. 2020-0272 Police Department Report regarding tavern violations/calls for service for the month of
March 2020

This matter was Recommended to be Placed on File on a Block Vote.
Passed The Block Vote
A motion was madeby Roadt, seconded by Stefanski, to approve all the actions on item nos. [ ]
on a Block Vote.The motion carried unanimously.

4. 2020-0274 Review of license applicant background checks for consideration of possible approval
or denial
Members of the Committee requested an explanation and training to read the police
reports and guidelines for applications. A training session was agreed upon to be
scheduled for May 5, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. before the Common Council Meeting.
License & Health Committee recommended approval of the following applicants.
Operator’s (bartender/sales clerk) License applications 2019-2021:
Chambliss, Jr., William H.
DePons, Brian G.
Sullivan, Kathleen A.
License & Health Committee recommended denial of the following applicants. The
Clerk's Office was directed to send a letter allowing the applicant an opportunity to appear
before the License & Health Committee to show competent evidence of rehabilitation.
Operator’s (bartender/sales clerk) License applications 2019-2021:
Schilg, Phralousonh, Jessica R.
Young, Lamarcus, A.
This matter was Discussed and Consensus Given.
5. 2020-0275 Discussion regarding alcohol licensing fees for licensed premises unable to operate
due to Safer-At-Home Orders issued by State Officials
The Committee directed the Attorney's Office to move forward with an Ordinance for a
proposal for reduction or refund of Class B License fees due to the Safer-At-Home
Orders.
