Roadt, and Tracy Stefanski Tuesday, September 8, 2020 6:00 PM Art Gallery 7525 W. Greenfield Ave. SPECIAL MEETING - HEARING A. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chair Vitale at 6:00 p.m. B. ROLL CALL Present 5- Vitale, Grisham, Reinke, Roadt, and Stefanski Others present: Neal A. Steffek, Nicholas Cerwin, Assistant City Attorney, Rebecca Hammock, Assistant City Attorney, and Ann Marie Neff, Secretary to the Committee. C. NEW AND PREVIOUS MATTERS A Hearing was conducted with Neal A. Steffek, Assistant City Attorney, Nicholas Cerwin, Assistant City Attorney Rebecca Hammock, and members of the License & Health Committee. At 6:45 p.m. a motion was made by Ald. Grisham, seconded by Ald. Steffanski, to convene in closed session. The motion carried unanimously. Upon conclusion of the closed session at 7:02 p.m., the License and Health Committee reconvened in open session. 2020-0482 Summons and Complaint in the matter of the complaint against Steffek LLC, Neal A. Steffek, Agent, for the premises located at 1902 S. 68 St., d/b/a The Drunk Uncle (2019-2020 Combination Class B Tavern License No. 2080) Attachments: Steffek LLC Summons and Complaint.final Affidavit of Service License and Health hearing guide Steffek 9-14-20 This matter was held until September 22, 2020 to allow Mr. Steffek the opportunity to check into resources for his requirements of rehabilitation. This matter was Held. 2020-0609 Police Department Report regarding tavern violations/calls for service for the month of July 2020 Attachments: July Tavernreport_Redacted A motion was made by Stefanski, seconded by Grisham, that this matter be Recommended to be Placed on File. Adult-Oriented Operator Permit applications 2020-02021: Blackbird, Brooke Guenther, Rachel Operator (bartender/sales clerk) License renewal application 2020-2022: Baker, Jason Operator (bartender/sales clerk) License applications 2020-2022: Ditschelt, Michele Godoy, Albert Jr Ahles, Andrew Cataldo, Joseph Muzenski, Kathryn Andres, Kayla Kowalski, Kayla Timm, Keith Crivello, Raymond License & Health Committee recommended denial of the following applicants. The Clerk's Office was directed to send a letter allowing the applicants an opportunity to appear before the License & Health to show evidence of rehabilitation. Operator (bartender/sales clerk) license 2020-2022: Nowak, Nicole Bergland, Peter A motion was made by Grisham, seconded by Stefanski, that this matter be Recommended for Approval according to the notes. The motion carried unanimously. D. ADJOURNMENT A motion was made by Grisham, seconded by Stefanski, to adjourn the meeting at 7:43 p.m. The motion carried unanimously. Steffek, Agent, for the premises located at 1902 S. 68 St., d/b/a The Drunk Uncle (2019-2020 Combination Class B Tavern License No. 2080) For agenda file number 2020-0482, the committee may convene in closed session pursuant to the provisions of WI State Statutes Sections 19.85(1)(a) and (g) for the purpose of deliberating concerning a case which was the subject of any quasi-judicial hearing and conferring with the city attorney who will render oral or written advice concerning strategy to be adopted with respect to litigation in which the city is or is likely to become involved. ADJOURNMENT City of West Allis Common Council members may attend the above License & Health Committee meeting for information gathering purposes. Should a quorum of Common Council members appear at this Committee meeting, a regular Common Council meeting may take place for the purposes of gathering information on an item listed on the Committee agenda. Should such a meeting occur, the date, time and location of the Common Council meeting will be that of the License & Health Committee as listed on the License & Health Committee agenda. All meetings of the License & Health Committee are public meetings.
