Grievance hearing regarding the method that police administration used to award overtime related to the bike racing event held on June 20, 2023 filed by West Allis Professional Police Association Vice President Joel Baumgart. 2. Findings and determinations by the Board of Police and Fire Commissioners regarding this filed grievance related to the bike racing event held on June 20, 2023 filed by West Allis Professional Police Association Vice President Joel Baumgart. D. CLOSED SESSION PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Police and Fire Commission of the City of West Allis has scheduled a Grievance Hearing for Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Common Council Chambers located at 7525 W. Greenfield Avenue, West Allis, Wisconsin, pursuant to Article15, Section 1 of the Agreement between the City of West Allis and the West Allis Professional Police Association. Following the presentation of evidence, the Police and Fire Commission may, upon motion duly made and carried, convene in closed session at said time and place for the purpose of conducting deliberations with regard to making a decision. A closed session for the above purpose is authorized pursuant to the provisions of Section 19.85(1) (a) of the Wisconsin Statutes which permit a governmental body, upon motion duly made and carried, to convene in closed session for the purpose of deliberating concerning a case which was the subject of any judicial or quasi-judicial trial or hearing before that governmental body. Immediately upon the completion of the closed session, the Police and Fire Commission will reconvene in open session at said time and place for the purpose of announcing its decision regarding the grievance and considering any other matters which may properly come before the Commission. In order for the general public to make comments at the committee meetings, the individual(s) must be scheduled (as an appearance) with the chair of the committee or the appropriate staff contact; otherwise, the meeting of the committee is a working session for the committee itself, and discussion by those in attendance is limited to committee members, the mayor, other alderpersons, staff and others that may be a party to the matter being discussed. NOTICE OF POSSIBLE QUORUM It is possible that members of, and possibly a quorum of, members of other governmental bodies of the municipality may be in attendance at the above-stated meeting to gather information. No action will be taken by any governmental body at the above -stated meeting other than the governmental body specifically referred to above in this notice.
