CALL TO ORDER Vice-Chair Vitale called the meeting to order. B. ROLL CALL Present 4- Ald. Vitale, Ald. Lajsic, Ald. Probst, and Ald. Reinke Excused 1- Ald. Barczak C. NEW AND PREVIOUS MATTERS New Matters for Introduction 16. R-2016-0140 Resolution accepting work of State Contractors, Inc. for concrete pavement patching, sidewalk, pavement markings, manhole adjustments and utility adjustments in W. Lincoln Avenue from S. 84th Street to S. 85th Street, W. Lincoln Avenue from S. 67th Street to S. 68th Street, W. Becher Street from S. 72nd Street to S. 73rd Street and Various Locations throughout the City of West Allis and authorizing and directing settlement of said contract in accordance with contract terms of 2014 Project No. 12. Sponsors: Public Works Committee A motion was made by Ald. Lajsic, seconded by Ald. Probst, that this matter was Recommended For Adoption. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 4- Ald. Vitale, Ald. Lajsic, Ald. Probst, and Ald. Reinke No: 0 17. R-2016-0174 Resolution to approve bid of Globe Contractors, Inc. for the installation of concrete curb and gutter, concrete pavement, concrete sidewalk, driveway replacement, sanitary sewer relay, storm sewer, storm sewer relay, water main relay, building services and utility adjustments in South 119th Street from West Oklahoma Avenue to West Ohio Avenue in the City of West Allis in the amount of $1,172,338.00. Sponsors: Public Works Committee A motion was made by Ald. Reinke, seconded by Ald. Probst, that this matter was Recommended For Adoption. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 4- Ald. R-2016-0167 Resolution acknowledging the Common Council’s support of the efficient financial management and operation of the City’s Sanitary Sewer Utility and authorizing the Assistant City Engineer to submit the Compliance Maintenance Annual Report (CMAR) to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Sponsors: Public Works Committee A motion was made by Ald. Lajsic, seconded by Ald. Probst, that this matter was Recommended For Adoption. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 4- Ald. Vitale, Ald. Lajsic, Ald. Probst, and Ald. Reinke No: 0 19. R-2016-0175 Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Works/City Engineer to file applications for any grants or loans available with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Sponsors: Public Works Committee A motion was made by Ald. Reinke, seconded by Ald. Probst, that this matter was Recommended For Adoption. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 4- Ald. Vitale, Ald. Lajsic, Ald. Probst, and Ald. Reinke No: 0 20. 2016-0395 Petition from the residents on S. 72 Street from W. Cleveland Avenue to W. Kinnickinnic River Parkway opposing the four-way bump outs at the intersection of W. Cleveland Avenue and S. 72 St., S. 72 St., nor at the intersection of W. Kinnickinnic River Pkwy, and S. 72 Street; nor any speed bumps or dips on S. 72 Street included in the proposed asphalt resurfacing project. Attachments: Petition A motion was made by Ald. Lajsic, seconded by Ald. Reinke, that this matter was Recommended to be Placed on File, with the direction to Engineering to proceed as desired by the property owners as determined by Friday, June 24, at 5:00 p.m. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 4- Ald.
