Board of Police Commissioners

REGULAR MEETING WEST HAVEN BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS January 19, 2016 The Regular Meeting of the West Haven Board of Police Commissioners was held on January 19, 2016 at Police Headquarters, 200 Saw Mill Rd., West Haven. Present were Commissioners Raymond Collins, R.K. Smith, , Paul Butler, Jr and Andrew Giaquinto. Also present were Chief John Karajanis, Deputy Chief Joseph Perno, Det/Sgt Walter Casey, President of Local 895 and Brent Watt, Council Liaison. Commissioner Deborah Wright was not present. After the Pledge of Allegiance, Chairperson Collins called the meeting to order at 7:00pm. There were no items added to the January 19, 2016 Agenda: A motion was then presented by Commissioner Smith to accept the January 19, 2016 Agenda. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Butler and approved unanimously. 1. Minutes of January 5, 2016 Special Meeting Minutes of January 11, 2016 A motion was presented by Commissioner Smith to accept the Minutes of January 5, 2016 and Special Meeting Minutes of January 11, 2016. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Butler and approved unanimously. 2. Public Input None 3. Report of Committees – Personnel Committee Chairperson Smith reported to the Board that his term as Commissioner expires on 1/31/16 and that he met with Mayor O’Brien and delivered his resignation, effective 1/31/16. 9. Executive Session A motion was presented by Commissioner Smith to enter into Executive Session at 7:10pm to discuss the following: 10.1 Interviews The motion was seconded by Commissioner Butler and approved unanimously.
