MINUTES OF THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING AUTHORITY REGULAR MEETING – MAY 1, 2018 -1- THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING AUTHORITY OF WEST VALLEY CITY MET IN REGULAR SESSION ON TUESDAY, MAY 1, 2018, AT 7:50 P.M. IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WEST VALLEY CITY HALL, 3600 CONSTITUTION BOULEVARD, WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH. THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER BY CHAIR STEVE BUHLER. THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS WERE PRESENT: Steve Buhler, Chair Ron Bigelow Don Christensen Lars Nordfelt Tom Huynh Karen Lang Jake Fitisemanu STAFF PRESENT: Wayne Pyle, Chief Executive Officer Nichole Camac, Secretary Eric Bunderson, City Attorney Layne Morris, CPD Director Colleen Jacobs, Police Chief John Evans, Fire Chief Jim Welch, Finance Director Nancy Day, Parks and Recreation Director Russ Willardson, Public Works Director Sam Johnson, Strategic Communications Director Jake Arslanian, Public Works Department APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING HELD JANUARY 2, 2018 The Board considered Minutes of the Regular Meeting held January 2, 2018. There were no changes, corrections or deletions. Mr. Christensen moved to approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting held January 2, 2018. Mr. Huynh seconded the motion. A voice vote was taken and all members voted in favor of the motion. RESOLUTION 18-01: ADOPT A TENTATIVE BUDGET AND SET FORTH PROPOSED APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE MUNICIPAL MINUTES OF THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING AUTHORITY REGULAR MEETING – MAY 1, 2018 -2- BUILDING AUTHORITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 2018 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2019 AND SET JUNE 5, 2018 AS THE DATE FOR PUBLIC HEARING Wayne Pyle, City Manager, presented proposed resolution 18-01 that would adopt a tentative budget and set forth proposed appropriations for the support of the Municipal Building Authority for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2018 and ending June 30, 2019 and set June 5, 2018 as the date for public hearing. Written documentation previously provided to the City Council included Information as follows: The Municipal Building Authority will adopt a tentative budget that will be made available for public inspection during regular office hours in the City’s Recorder’s office and gave notice of a hearing to receive public comment, before the final adoption of this tentative budget for FY 2018-2019. Hearing no further discussion, Chairman Buhler called for a motion. Mr. Nordfelt moved to approve Resolution 18-01. Mr. Huynh seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken: Mr. Fitisemanu Yes Ms. Lang Yes Mr. Huynh Yes Mr. Bigelow Yes Mr. Christensen Yes Mr. Nordfelt Yes Chairman Buhler Yes Unanimous.
