MINUTES OF HOUSING AUTHORITY REGULAR MEETING – MAY 1, 2018
THE WEST VALLEY CITY HOUSING AUTHORITY MET IN REGULAR SESSION ON
TUESDAY, MAY 1, 2018, AT 7:46 P.M. IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WEST
VALLEY CITY HALL, 3600 CONSTITUTION BOULEVARD, WEST VALLEY CITY,
UTAH. THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER BY CHAIRMAN CHRISTENSEN.
THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS WERE PRESENT:

APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING HELD JANUARY 2,
2018
The Board considered Minutes of the Regular Meeting held January 2, 2018. There were
no changes, corrections or deletions.
Mr. Fitisemanu moved to approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting held January 2,
2018. Mr. Huynh seconded the motion.
A voice vote was taken and all members voted in favor of the motion.
RESOLUTION 18-01: ADOPT A TENTATIVE BUDGET AND SET FORTH
PROPOSED APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE HOUSING
AUTHORITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 2018 AND
MINUTES OF HOUSING AUTHORITY REGULAR MEETING – MAY 1, 2018
ENDING JUNE 30, 2019 AND SET JUNE 5, 2018 AS THE DATE FOR PUBLIC
HEARING
Wayne Pyle, City Manager, discussed proposed resolution 18-01 that would adopt a
tentative budget and set forth proposed appropriations for the support of the Housing
Authority for the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2018 and ending June 30, 2019 and set
June 5, 2018 as the date for public hearing.
Written documentation previously provided to the City Council included Information as
follows:
The Housing Authority will adopt a tentative budget that will be made available for
public inspection during regular office hours in the City’s Recorder’s office and
gave notice of a hearing to receive public comment, before the final adoption of
this tentative budget for FY 2018-2019.
Mayor Bigelow clarified that the Public Hearing is set for June 5, 2018. Wayne replied yes
and indicated that the City’s General Fund and the Enterprise Funds are the only Public
Hearings that occur in August since the City must wait for the Judgement Levy and Tax
Rate from the County.
Upon inquiry by Chairman Christensen the Board had no further questions and he called
for a motion.
Mr. Bigelow moved to approve Resolution No. 18-01.
Mr. Buhler seconded the motion.

Upon motion by Mr. Fitisemanu all voted in favor to adjourn.
