MINUTES OF THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING AUTHORITY REGULAR MEETING – JUNE 5, 2018 -1- THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING AUTHORITY OF WEST VALLEY CITY MET IN REGULAR SESSION ON TUESDAY, JUNE 5, 2018, AT 7:02 P.M. IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WEST VALLEY CITY HALL, 3600 CONSTITUTION BOULEVARD, WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH. THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER BY CHAIRMAN BUHLER. THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS WERE PRESENT: Steve Buhler, Chair Ron Bigelow Don Christensen Lars Nordfelt Tom Huynh Karen Lang Jake Fitisemanu STAFF PRESENT: Wayne Pyle, Chief Executive Officer Nichole Camac, Secretary Paul Isaac, Assistant City Manager/HR Director Nicole Cottle, Assistant City Manager/ General Counsel/ CED Director Eric Bunderson, City Attorney Layne Morris, CPD Director Anita Schwemmer, Acting Police Chief John Evans, Fire Chief Jim Welch, Finance Director Nancy Day, Parks and Recreation Director Russ Willardson, Public Works Director Sam Johnson, Strategic Communications Director Jake Arslanian, Public Works Department APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING HELD MAY 1, 2018 The Board considered Minutes of the Regular Meeting held May 1, 2018. There were no changes, corrections or deletions. Mr. Christensen moved to approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting held May 1, 2018. Mr. Huynh seconded the motion. A voice vote was taken and all members voted in favor of the motion. MINUTES OF THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING AUTHORITY REGULAR MEETING – JUNE 5, 2018 -2- PUBLIC HEARING, ACCEPT PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE FY 2018- 2019 BUDGET Chairman Buhler informed a public hearing had been advertised for the Regular Municipal Building Authority Meeting scheduled June 5, 2018, in order for the Authority to hear and consider public comments regarding the FY 2018-2019 Budget. Chief Executive Officer, Wayne Pyle, presented proposed Resolution No. 18-02 related to the proposal to be considered by the Authority subsequent to the public hearing. The Authority had previously received written information as follows: This resolution adopts the final budget for the Municipal Building Authority of West Valley City for the 2018-2019 fiscal year after receiving public comment at a hearing on June 5, 2018. The Municipal Building Authority adopted a tentative budget that was made available for public inspection during regular office hours in the City’s Recorder’s office and gave notice of a hearing to receive public comment, before adopting this final budget for FY 2018-2019. Chairman Buhler opened the public hearing. There being no one to speak either in favor or in opposition, Chairman Buhler closed the public hearing. ACTION: RESOLUTION NO. 18-02, ADOPT THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE WEST VALLEY CITY MUNICIPAL BUILDING AUTHORITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 2018 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2019 The Authority previously held a public hearing regarding proposed Resolution No. 18-02 that would adopt the Annual Budget for the West Valley City Municipal Building Authority for the Fiscal Year Commencing July 1, 2018 and Ending June 30, 2019. Hearing no further discussion, Chairman Buhler called for a motion. Mr. Christensen moved to approve Resolution 18-02. Ms. Lang seconded the motion. MOTION TO ADJOURN Upon motion by Ms. Lang all voted in favor to adjourn.
