MINUTES OF RDA REGULAR MEETING – JUNE 5, 2018 -1- THE WEST VALLEY CITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY MET IN REGULAR SESSION ON TUESDAY, JUNE 5, 2018, AT 6:57 P.M. IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WEST VALLEY CITY HALL, 3600 CONSTITUTION BOULEVARD, WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH. THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER BY CHAIRMAN NORDFELT. THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS WERE PRESENT: Lars Nordfelt, Chair Ron Bigelow Don Christensen Tom Huynh Steve Buhler Karen Lang Jake Fitisemanu STAFF PRESENT: Wayne Pyle, Chief Executive Officer Nichole Camac, Secretary Paul Isaac, Assistant City Manager/HR Director Nicole Cottle, Assistant City Manager/ General Counsel/ CED Director Eric Bunderson, City Attorney Layne Morris, CPD Director Anita Schwemmer, Acting Police Chief John Evans, Fire Chief Jim Welch, Finance Director Nancy Day, Parks and Recreation Director Russ Willardson, Public Works Director Sam Johnson, Strategic Communications Director Jake Arslanian, Public Works Department APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING HELD MAY 1, 2018 The Board considered Minutes of the Regular Meeting held May 1, 2018. There were no changes, corrections or deletions. Mr. Buhler moved to approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting held May 1, 2018. Mr. Huynh seconded the motion. A voice vote was taken and all members voted in favor of the motion.  MINUTES OF RDA REGULAR MEETING – JUNE 5, 2018 -2- PUBLIC HEARING, ACCEPT PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE FY 2018- 2019 BUDGET Chairman Nordfelt informed a public hearing had been advertised for the Regular Redevelopment Agency Meeting scheduled June 5, 2018, in order for the Board to hear and consider public comments regarding the FY 2018-2019 Budget. Chief Executive Officer, Wayne Pyle, presented proposed Resolution No. 18-03 related to the proposal to be considered by the Board subsequent to the public hearing. The Board had previously received written information as follows: This resolution adopts the final budget for the Redevelopment Agency of West Valley City for the 2018-2019 fiscal year after receiving public comment at a hearing on June 5, 2018. The Redevelopment Agency adopted a tentative budget that was made available for public inspection during regular office hours in the City’s Recorder’s office and gave notice of a hearing to receive public comment, before adopting this final budget for FY 2018-2019. Chairman Nordfelt opened the public hearing. There being no one to speak either in favor or in opposition, Chairman Nordfelt closed the public hearing. ACTION: RESOLUTION NO. 18-03, ADOPT THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE WEST VALLEY CITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 2018 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2019 The Board previously held a public hearing regarding proposed Resolution No. 18-03 that would adopt the Annual Budget for the West Valley City Redevelopment Agency for the Fiscal Year Commencing July 1, 2018 and Ending June 30, 2019. Upon inquiry by Chairman Nordfelt there were no further questions from members of the Board, and he called for a motion. Mr. Fitisemanu moved to approve Resolution No. 18-03. Mr. Christensen seconded the motion. MOTION TO ADJOURN Upon motion by Mr. Buhler all voted in favor to adjourn. THERE BEING NO FURTHER BUSINESS OF THE WEST VALLEY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY THE REGULAR MEETING OF TUESDAY, JUNE 5, 2018, WAS ADJOURNED AT 7:00 P.M. BY CHAIRMAN NORDFELT.
