MINUTES OF THE WEST VALLEY CITY PLANNING COMMISSION STUDY MEETING FEBRUARY 5, 2025 THE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MET FOR STUDY SESSION ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2025 AT 3:35 PM IN WEST VALLEY CITY HALL, 3600 CONSTITUTION BLVD, SUITE 220, WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH. THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AND CONDUCTED BY CHAIR MATTHEW LOVATO. THE FOLLOWING MEMBERS WERE PRESENT: Mathew Lovato, Chair Darrick Porter, Commissioner Harold Woodruff, Commissioner Nancy Drozdek, Commissioner Rob Durfee, Commissioner PLANNING DIVISION STAFF PRESENT: Steve Pastorik, CED Director Brock Anderson, P&Z Senior Planner Jody Knapp, P&Z Zoning Administrator Steve Lehman, P&Z Planning Manager Julie Davis, P&Z Administrative Assistant LEGAL DEPARTMENT PRESENT: Brandon Hill, Assistant City Attorney PRESENTATIONS: 1) SA-1-2025 Petition by Kristen Floyd with Ability Inclusion Services is requesting minor subdivision approval and a plat amendment for lots 25-27 of the Lake Park Subdivision No. 1. The subdivision will consolidate 3 existing lots into one lot totaling .62 acres. The subdivision is located at 2574 South Redwood Road and is zoned RM. Staff-Steve Lehman at 801-963-3311 or steve.lehman@wvc-ut.gov. Steve Lehman presented an application from AIS for a property in the Lake Park subdivision, which would consolidate three subdivision lots into one large lot .62 acres in size. In addition, the public utility easement in the middle of the lots will be vacated and the current easement will remain as a right-of-way access, and curb and gutter improvements to be added. The subdivision plot will be one. The property is currently vacant. There were no questions or concerns raised. 2) SMI-1-2025 Petition by Adis Alagic is requesting minor subdivision approval for the Alagic-Mahir Subdivision. The subdivision will consist of 2 lots on .46 acres. The proposed subdivision is located at 3753 South 4400 West and is zoned R-1-8. Staff-Steve Lehman at 801-963-3311 or steve.lehman@wvc-ut.gov. Minutes of Planning Commission Study Meeting February 5, 2025 Page 1 of 2  Steve Lehman presented an application from Adis Alagic requesting a minor subdivision approval for a property with frontage on two residential streets. The property currently has a single-family dwelling and a detached garage, and the application requests dividing the property into two lots, each over 10,000 square feet. Curb improvements will be added when the new projects are built. There were no questions or concerns raised. There being no further business of the West Valley City Planning Commission meeting of Wednesday, February 5, 2025 it was adjourned at 3:43 PM.
