Westminster Tree Commission MINUTES OF MEETING Wednesday, January 14, 2015 City Hall, 7:00 PM 1. Call to Order a. Statement of Authority b. Roll Call – In Attendance: Cindy May, Howard Wilt, Jessica Fitzgerald, Eric Schlitzer, and Marge Wolf. 2. Approval of Minutes a. As there was not a quorum of members, the minutes of the November 19 meeting were not approved. 3. Old Business a. Jessica presented the draft material being developed on the arborscope web site, including the map of the park, the location of the trees and the narrative accompanying each tree. Bartlett is placing the UR codes on the trees and will include the section of the trail from the Dog Park to Sunshine Avenue. We would like to post signs at several locations on the trail and have a grand opening on April 24 which is National Arbor Day. Marge will contact Jeff Degitz at Carroll County Recreation and Parks to discuss these plans. 4. New Business a. Eric presented the addresses of the tree pits which need replacement trees this coming year. He will bring pictures of the acceptable street trees to the next Commission meeting so that the selection of replacement trees can be completed in time to plant this fall. Also under new business, Jessica discussed the cost of having Dr. Gilmore address the Tree Workshop. His fee is $3,000 plus expenses for hotel and airfare. 5. Adjournment – The meeting was adjourned at 5:30pm
