VILLAGE OF WESTON, MARATHON COUNTY, WISCONSIN SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES June 7, 2018, at 5:00 p.m. 1. Call to Order. President Ermeling called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. 2. Roll Call. Roll call indicated 5 Board of Trustee members present at 5:00 p.m. Ziegler joined the Board meeting at 6:20 p.m. Trustee Present Ermeling, Barb YES Ostrowski, Kevin NO Zeyghami, Hooshang YES Ziegler, Jon YES Wally Sparks YES Mark Maloney YES Yee Xiong YES 3. Discussion and possible action to approve hiring of special Village counsel. Motion by Xiong, second by Maloney to approve the hiring of Dean Dietrich, with Ruder Ware as special Village counsel. Yes Vote: 5 No Votes:0 Abstain:0 Not Voting:2 Result: Pass Trustee Voting Ermeling, Barb YES Ostrowski, Kevin ---- Zeyghami, Hooshang YES Ziegler, Jon ---- (not present during vote) Wally Sparks YES Mark Maloney YES Yee Xiong YES 4. Move to Closed Session. Consideration of motion to adjourn into closed session pursuant to Section 19.85(1)(c), Wis. Stats. for the purpose of considering employment status and performance evaluation data of a public employee over which the Village Board exercises jurisdiction including discussion of performance evaluation of Village Administrator and establishing performance goals for Village Administrator. Motion by Maloney, second by Zeyghami to convene into closed session. VILLAGE OF WESTON, MARATHON COUNTY, WISCONSIN SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES TO THE HONORABLE PRESIDENT ERMELING AND SIX (6) OTHER ELECTED MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES: The following items were listed on the agenda in the village Clerk’s office, in accordance with Chapter 2 of the village’s Municipal Code and will be ready for your consideration, during the 22nd session of the Board of Trustees, at your gathering on June 7, 2018, at 5:00 p.m. in the Board Room, at the Weston Municipal Center. A quorum of members from other Village governmental bodies (boards, commissions, and committees) may attend the above-noticed meeting to gather information. If a quorum of other government bodies are present this would constitute a meeting pursuant to “State of Wisconsin ex rel. Badke v. Greendale Village Bd., 173 Wis.2d 553,494 N.W.2d 408 (1993)”. Therefore, no official actions other than those of the BOARD OF TRUSTEES shall take place. Wisconsin State Statutes require all agendas for Board, Commission, and Committee meetings be posted in final form, 24 hours prior to the meeting.
