Jeff Krentz – 4608 Kellyland Street, Weston
Mr. Krentz spoke of his concerns about permits issued to neighboring bars allowing loud music
until 11:00 p.m. in residential areas. Would like to see it end by 10:00 p.m.
Cindy Russell – 5907 Tricia Avenue, Weston
Ms. Russell spoke regarding the CVB and wishes that the Village would dissolve the agreement
between them and the CVB. Expressed that the streets are looking poorly with potholes. Asked
what goals have been set and achieved to close out TIF#1.

An Ordinance Amending Chapter 2 Administration, Section 2.214 Standing
Committees of the Municipal Code for the Village of Weston, including President
to designate appointments and add language to facilitate annual selection of
chairpersons and vice chairs.
Discussion was held that the process stated in the Ordinance is what is the current
practice and there would be no need for a change.

Agreement to add the site plan showing the location of the pergola and new
building elevations (as currently built) and approve releasing 50 percent of the
$115,470 TIF Funding.
Cronin stated the direction of the Plan Commission was to approve the building as it is
now, the elevations as built. The landscaping will be brought back.

44. Discussion and/or action on Recommendation from the Finance and Human Resources
Committee to Terminate the Lease Agreement with the Town of Weston at 5209 Mesker

Motion by Pinsonneault, second by Weiland to terminate the least agreement with
the Town of Weston at 5209 Mesker Street and direct staff to work with the Town
of Weston to explore other options to include leasing the Board Room in the 4747
Camp Phillips building for meetings and leasing one office in this building of a
similar size of 158 square feet.
Discussion was held in which Maloney and Cronin stated that they were not in
agreement about leasing space in the Municipal Center to the Town of Weston due to
the confusion of residents and wish to work with the Town of Weston where they
currently are located. Discussion was held regarding the current rent paid by the Town
of Weston and that renegotiation would be a better option. Maloney stated that the
Village works together with municipalities and wants to continue to do so. Zeyghami
stated that in the past it was agreed to do whatever can be done to remain in agreement
with the Town. Pinsonneault stated that the amount we are currently receiving for rent
is far less than what it takes to maintain the building, pay for internet, and phone. Milt

45. Discussion and/or action to Establish the 2025 Budget Adoption Schedule (on recording

Gebert asked the Board for guidance on scheduling dates to adopt the 2025 Budget.
The meeting dates will be September 3, September 16, September 23, October 7, and
October 21.
46. Discussion and/or action on Consideration of Withdrawal from the Wausau CVB

Motion by Pinsonneault, second by Weiland to withdraw from the Tourism Entity
Agreement with the CVB and provide notice to the Wausau CVB on or before
September 1, 2024, and to direct staff to work with CVB to negotiate a new
contract with the CVB which can be executed by January 1 to continue
relationship.
Pinsonneault stated that negotiations needed to be done and the intent is not to walk
away from the CVB, but to re-negotiate the contract. He stated that he requests to
withdraw from the agreement so if there are not agreed terms by December 31, the
Village will not continue to be in the same contract. Maloney felt confident that terms

project deduct of $31,336.
Gebert advised the Board of a meeting with Ellis Construction and presented the
question to the Board of the request for consideration of reduction of those damages
because of the working relationship between Ellis and the Village. Ellis is asking if the
Village would reduce the liquidated damages by less than $31,336. The Board was not
in favor.

Cronin would like Post Avenue to be on the list to receive an overlay and would like to see the
volleyball courts at the parks cleaned up.
REMARKS FROM TRUSTEES
Weiland would like the Tourism Committee to meet later than 3:00 p.m. as she has a hard time
making it to that meeting due to work.
Pinsonneault would like to see the municipal center parking lot seal coated and made a comment
on how many meetings the Board of Trustees has had in the past two years which were equivalent
to two per month. Ermeling stated she is unable to attend the next Board meeting and Finance
and Human Resources meeting.
