OTHER ITEMS
Pre-Ap, 39 O’Brien Avenue, Jill Lawrance, MT Creative Described the project and its
location. The building will have commercial on the first floor with three residential units
upstairs and three single car garages.
Tracy – struggles with the massing of these buildings in this neighborhood; the north side
of E 2nd Street has changed dramatically though she recognizes this neighborhood will
change; likes the character of the neighborhood
Ryan – compared to some of the other buildings we’ve seen in this neighborhood this one
is following the design standards much more; the massing is extreme – neighbors to the
north will not see the sun, the neighborhood is changing; likes the E First Street elevation
Christine – struggles with the west elevation next to a very small house to the north; noted
it is important to be neighborly; challenge with meeting clients demands and the existing
neighborhood
Diane – wishes the building was two-story
2
Leslie – appreciates the porches and outdoor spaces; looks forward to seeing the
landscaping plan
The Committee had much discussion about the 3rd floor element. They like the general
direction of the project and look forward to reviewing the final design.
Leslie will be gone for the December meeting.
