AGENDA Climate Action Plan Standing Committee Regular Meeting August 16, 2023 The regular meeting of the Climate Action Plan Standing Committee will be held on Wednesday, August 16th, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers Conference Room at City Hall, 415 East 2nd Street. A. Call to Order B. Approval of Minutes from June 21st, 2023 Meeting, if available. C. Communications/Outreach/Education – Alyssa Wilbur, ICLEI program officer, will discuss Whitefish involvement with 7 other communities in the EECBG Cohort Grant Application for “Leading a More Efficient and Regenerative Tourism Economy”. If the grant is awarded Moab, Utah will be the lead community. Each partner applicant community would receive $100,000. D. Project Updates • Existing Projects o Community Solar Project – (Karin) o Transit Update - Mobility Platform/Transit MOU (Karin) o Growth Policy Update – Planning Dept. (Alan) o FY 24 city budget process related to CAP committee (Karin)  Retro-commissioning of ESC Building Approved (Karin)  Public Works EV charging, potential EV for FY24 o C-PACE status (Karin) – Follow up from council work session o Safe Streets for All plan (federal grant) o Mountain Towns 2030 Collaboration Update • Proposed Projects o Electrification Strategy follow up E. Upcoming Events o Big Sky Climate Solutionist Summit – January 11 and 12, 2024 o Invite someone to speak about Heat Pumps at an upcoming meeting – Don Newton of FEC is a potential speaker. F.
