Pedestrian and Bicycle Path Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes March 1, 2021 Committee Members Present: Mike Fitzgerald, John Repke, Jim DeHerrera, Doug Reed, Hunter Holmes, Frank Sweeny, and John Phelps. City Staff Present: Carla Belski, Karin Hilding, Craig Workman, Angela Jacobs, Dana Smith, and Maria Butts. Also Present: Allison Mouch, Patricia Zanto, Dick Allison, Greg Gunderson, Bruce Boody, Wade Kline. A. The meeting was called to order 8:32 AM. B. Mike moved to approve the minutes. Frank seconded. Approved. C. Public Comment: None. D. New Business: None. E. Old Business a. Miles Avenue/Riverbend Condo Easement: John Repke moved that the committee prepare a position statement which outlines the position of the committee to stay along the river, which will be submitted to the Park board for review. Frank Sweeney seconded. Approved unanimously. F. Parks and Recreation Comments: The terms for Hunter, Mike, and Doug are up at the end of May. Parks is sending out notification letters notifying them of the opportunity to apply for another term. G. Public Works Comments: Karin is working on updating the tier 1 list from the 2016 Connect Whitefish Plan to be included in the Transportation Plan. She will bring this list to the next meeting for committee review. H. Committee Comments: Mike suggested that viaduct improvements take place soon. Craig reported that the City is hoping to apply for funding through the Transportation Alternatives (TA) grant. This grant will most likely open late winter/early spring for proposals. I. The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 5, 2021. J. The meeting was adjourned at 9:35 a.m. Action Items: 1. Preparation of a position statement by the committee.
