Any proposed changes require a motion, a second, and approval from the Council to be implemented. The agenda shall be approved at each meeting even if no changes are being made at that meeting. City Manager Weidl gave his bi-monthly update of City events and accomplishments, including reports from the following departments: Public Works, Police, Fire & EMS, Common Council Meeting Minutes May 19, 2026 Page 3 Library, Community Development, Parks & Recreation, Human Resources and Media Services. STAFF REPORTS 11. 2026 Spring Splash Report.- PD 12. Storm After Action Report.- Public Works Public Works Director Brad Marquardt gave an update on the Storm After Action Report. HEARING OF CITIZEN COMMENTS No formal Council action will be taken during this meeting although issues raised may become a part of a future agenda. RESOLUTION 13. 2026-R-14 Resolution Authorizing the Issuance and Establishing Parameters for the Sale of Not to Exceed $9,200,000 General Obligation Promissory Notes, Series 2026A- Finance Motion to approve Resolution 2026-R-14 and bring back to the 6/2/26 Council meeting made by Councilmember Hicks, Seconded by Councilmember Kelleher. Discussion and Possible Action regarding options for holding Common Council meeting in the Community.- City Clerk Staff directed to come up with a schedule and locations to bring back at a future Council meeting. 17. Discussion and Possible Action regarding Twin Oaks Mobile Home Park 2026-2027 Mobile Home License. - Municipal Code Enforcement. Council recommended Staff to work with the recent contact we had last week, to have them come into compliance before the end of the month, Friday May 29th. If not, pursue revocation process. By the end of June, work with MCE to address code violations to a substantial level, whatever MCE determines that is. 18. Discussion and Possible Action regarding incorporating the Public Arts Committee with the Whitewater Arts Alliance.- City Manager Work on a joint meeting of the two bodies. 19. Discussion and Possible Action regarding the Purchasing of Shelving for PD Evidence Garage.- PD This item was taken off the Agenda and moved to the 6/2/26 Council Meeting. 20. The City of Whitewater’s strategic goals for 2026–2028 are: expanding single-family home development, strengthening community communication, supporting a thriving business community, increasing access to healthcare resources, improving staff recruitment and retention efforts, advancing transportation options, and prioritizing expenditures based on available resources.
