Any proposed changes require a motion, a second, and approval from the Council to be implemented. The agenda shall be approved at each meeting even if no changes are being made at that meeting. City Manager Weidl gave his bi-monthly update of City events and accomplishments, including reports from the following departments: Public Works, Police, Fire & EMS, Library, Community Development, Parks & Recreation, Human Resources, Media Services and around Whitewater 15. National Gun Violence Awareness Day Proclamation. City Manager John Weidl gave a Proclamation on National Gun Violence Awareness Day. STAFF REPORTS 16. Update on Jakes Way extension to Howard Road. - Public Works Public Works Director Brad Marquardt gave an update on Jakes Way. 17. Update on agreement between the City of Whitewater and Downtown Whitewater, Inc.- Community Development This item was moved to the Consent Agenda. Will be brought back to Council in late August. 18. Police Evidence Garage Change Order #1.- Public Works This item was moved to the Consent Agenda. Kristine Zaballos (1143 W Walworth Ave) spoke about the daycare. Chuck Mills (336 S Whiton St) spoke about the Little Miss Pageant and 4th of July Committee. RESOLUTION 19. 2026-R-17 Resolution Approving Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Compliance Maintenance Annual Report.- Public Works This item was moved to the Consent Agenda. 20. 2026-R-18 Resolution Approving the Dedication of Right-of-Way.- Community Development This item was moved to the Consent Agenda. 21. 2026-R-19 Resolution Approving the Amendment to Development Agreement with Becker & Bolton LLC.- Community Development Motion to approve Resolution 2026-R-19 made by Councilmember M.Smith, Seconded by Councilmember Artsmith.
