Board of Aldermen Meeting

CITY OF WILLARD BOARD OF ALDERMEN SPECIAL MEETING FEBRUARY 6TH, 2007 6:30 P.M. Board present: Mayor Thomas J. Keltner; Aldermen Charles Whitehead; Aldermen Gordon O’Quinn; and Aldermen Richard Simpson. Aldermen Bill Caplinger was not present. Also in attendance: City Administrator, Fred Gress; CFO, Karen Robson; and Director of Development, Randy Brown. Guest present: Bob Cardell and Matt Sharps with Natco Inc., Mark McAlpine with Ceres, and Tara Painter and Jeff Mitchell with Bamaco. City Administrator Fred Gress made presentation to the Board concerning the bid openings for removing all of the tree hangers in the city right-of-way. Fred also gave the board a bid tally sheet of all the bids. He researched the companies and called their references. Fred recommended The Tree Man with a low bid of $29.00 per tree. Motion made by Richard Simpson with second by Gordon O’Quinn to contract with The Tree Man, and if their insurance, bonds, etc. do not meet the requirements the second lowest bid will be hired. All votes yes. Motion carried. Motion made by Richard Simpson with second by Charles Whitehead to adjourn meeting. All votes yes. Motion carried.
