Board of Aldermen Meeting

CITY OF WILLARD BOARD OF ALDERMAN SPECIAL MEETING July 29, 2013 Board present: Alderman Trapp-present, Alderman Roggensees--present, Alderman McDonald, Alderman Vincent-present and Mayor Forshee-present Alderman Hemphill and Alderman Johnson were absent. Staff present: City Clerk, Dale Duvall; Finance Officer, Carolyn Halverson; Director of Development, Randy Brown and Officer Bob Bell. Citizens present: Bradley Mowell. City Attorney Ken Reynolds. Pledge of Allegiance The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Forshee. Call to Order Mayor Forshee called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Roll Call The City Clerk called the roll call. Alderman Trapp-present, Alderman Hemphill---, Alderman Johnson--- - Alderman Vincent-present, Alderman McDonald-present, Alderman Roggensees-present and Mayor Forshee-present. Discussion /Vote on Safe Room Grant The City Administrator asked for approval to extend the existing FEMA safe house grant. Alderman Trapp expressed concern for the ability to transfer the grant. The City Administrator assured her that the school would be paying for the whole grant and that then the school would take over full liability for the safe house. Motion made by Alderman Roggensees and seconded by Alderman Vincent to extend the existing FEMA safe house grant. Alderman Vincent-Aye, Alderman Johnson--, Alderman McDonald- Aye, Alderman Trapp-Aye, Alderman Roggensees-Aye and Alderman Hemphill---. All votes aye. Motion carried. Adjourn meeting Motion made by Alderman Vincent and seconded by Alderman Roggensees to adjourn the open meeting. Alderman Vincent-Aye, Alderman Johnson---, Alderman McDonald-Aye, Alderman Trapp-Aye, Alderman Roggensees-Aye and Alderman Hemphill- --. All votes aye. Motion carried.
