Planning and Zoning Meeting

CITY OF WILLARD PLANNING & ZONING FEBRUARY 24TH, 2009 7:00 P.M. Commission present: Mayor Jamie Schoolcraft; Chairmen Dale Duvall; Vice Chairmen Lucille Murray; Charlie Gugel; and Valorie Simpson. (Robert Taylor was not present). Also in attendance: City Clerk, Kathy Blakemore; Director of Development, Randy Brown; Director of Public Works, Charlie Jones; and City Attorney, Sativa Boatman-Sloan. Guest present: Darin Stribling and son. Chairmen Dale Duvall called the meeting to order. Roll Call City Clerk, Kathy Blakemore called the roll call-Charlie Gugel-present; Valorie Simpson- present; Dale Duvall-present; Mayor Jamie Schoolcraft-present; Robert Taylor----------; and Lucille Murray-present. (Robert Taylor was not present). Agenda Amendments/Approval of agenda Chairmen Dale Duvall stated that West Ridge Subdivision extension needed to be added to the agenda as item #7. Motion made by Valorie Simpson with second by Lucille Murray to approve the agenda with the amendment listed above. Minutes 11/25/08 Motion made by Mayor Jamie Schoolcraft with second by Valorie Simpson to approve the minutes of the regular meeting on November 25th, 2008. Charlie Gugel-I; Valorie Simspon-I; Dale Duvall-I; Mayor Jamie Schoolcraft-I; and Lucille Murray-I. All votes yes. Motion carried. Elect Executive Secretary Motion made by Mayor Jamie Schoolcraft with second by Valorie Simpson to elect Charlie Gugel as Executive Secretary to the Planning & Zoning Commission. Charlie Gugel-I; Valorie Simpson-I; Dale Duvall-I; Mayor Jamie Schoolcraft-I; and Lucille Murray-I. All votes yes. Motion carried. Proposed Webster Minor Subdivision Motion made by Mayor Jamie Schoolcraft with second by Valorie Simpson to recommend to the Board of Aldermen that the proposed Webster Minor Subdivision be approved. Charlie Gugel-I; Valorie Simpson-I; Dale Duvall-I; Mayor Jamie Schoolcraft-I; and Lucille Murray-I. All votes yes. Motion carried. Page 1 of 2 West Ridge Subdivision Extension Director of Development, Randy Brown stated that Excalibur Engineering representing Chuck Floyd requested a year extension on West Ridge Subdivision plans. Motion made by Lucille Murray with second by Mayor Jamie Schoolcraft to recommend to the Board of Aldermen that the year extension for West Ridge Subdivision plans be approved. Charlie Gugel-I; Valorie Simpson-I; Dale Duvall-I; Mayor Jamie Schoolcraft-I; and Lucille Murray-I. All votes yes. Motion carried. Motion made by Lucille Murray with second by Mayor Jamie Schoolcraft that the Planning & Zoning Commission recommends approval of the West Ridge Subdivision extension on the finding that the conditions on which the preliminary plat was approved have not substantially changed.
