Planning and Zoning Meeting

CITY OF WILLARD, MISSOURI PLANNING AND ZONING REGULAR MEETING August 26, 2014 7:00 P.M. Staff present: City Administrator, J. Everett Mitchell; and Director of Development, Randy Brown. Guest Present: Mr. Tropepe. Meeting opened by Secretary Valorie Simpson at 7:05 p.m. Roll Call. Present: Lucille Murray, David Helton, Alderman Bradley Mowell, and Valorie Simpson. Adam Shelledy, Mayor Forshee and Robert Taylor were absent. Approval of the Agenda. Motion was made by Lucille Murray with a second by Valorie Simpson to approve the agenda. Motion carried with a vote of 4-0. Voting Aye: Lucille Murray, David Helton, Valorie Simpson and Bradley Mowell. Approval of the minutes from the May 27, 2014 regular meeting. Valorie Simpson was not present at May 27th meeting, therefore the minutes need to be changed to reflect such. Motion made by Lucille Murray to approve the minutes with the changes, with a second by David Helton. Motion carried with a vote of 4-0. Voting Aye: Lucille Murray, David Helton, Valorie Simpson, and Bradley Mowell. Citizens Input. None Discussion/Vote for recommendation to the Board of Aldermen for the replat request for Kramer Construction of Lot 1 and Lot 2 of Cardinal Hills Subdivision. Mr. Tropepe spoke about the request for the replat. The Director of Development had no issues with the lot-line being moved 5 feet. Motion made by Lucille Murray to approve with a second by Bradley Mowell. Motion carried with a vote of 4-0. Voting Aye: Lucille Murray, David Helton, Valorie Simpson, and Bradley Mowell. Old Business. The Director of Development gave the Commission updates on projects around the city: the hardware store should be open in October, Dollar General is making progress in their location on Miller Street, the sidewalk project for Willey and Farmer is moving along and a building permit has been issued for a 48 unit apartment complex by the Police Station. There has been some interest in development of the 52 acres north of the water tower by the Meadows. New Business. No new business Adjourn Meeting. Lucille Murray made the motion to adjourn the meeting with a second by David Helton. Motion carried with a vote of 4-0. Voting Aye: Lucille Murray, David Helton, Valorie Simpson and Bradley Mowell.
