Planning and Zoning Meeting

CITY OF WILLARD, MISSOURI PLANNING AND ZONING REGULAR MEETING May 24, 2016 7:00 P.M. Staff present: City Administrator, J. Everett Mitchell; City Clerk, Jennifer Rowe; and Director of Development, Randy Brown; Also present: City Attorney, Ken Reynolds Citizens present: Donna Stewart Meeting opened by Chairman Adam Shelledy at 7:00 p.m. Roll Call Present: Adam Shelledy, Lucille Murray, David Helton, Valorie Simpson, Terry Kathcart and Mayor Corey Hendrickson. Absent: Alderman Jamie Buckley. Approval of Agenda Motion was made by Valorie Simpson with a second by Mayor Hendrickson to approve the Agenda. Motion carried with a vote of 6-0. Voting aye: Lucille Murray, Adam Shelledy, David Helton, Terry Kathcart, Mayor Hendrickson and Valorie Simpson. Approval of minutes from April 26, 2016 Motion was made by Valorie Simpson with a second by Terry Kathcart to approve the Minutes from April 26, 2016. Motion carried with a vote of 6-0. Voting aye: Lucille Murray, Adam Shelledy, David Helton, Terry Kathcart, Mayor Hendrickson and Valorie Simpson. Citizens Input None Public Hearing regarding Annexation of EE The City Attorney Ken Reynolds opened the public hearing at 7:04 p.m. No citizens wished to speak. Mr. Reynolds closed the public hearing at 7:05 p.m. Discussion/Vote on Annexation of EE Randy Brown reminded the Board that the Annexation of EE had been tabled at a previous meeting. The Annexation had been changed to remove the extra one-quarter (1/4) mile east of Farm Road 103. This was the only change to the Annexation request. Motion was made by Adam Shelledy and seconded by Lucille Murray to recommend to the Board of Aldermen to approve the Annexation of EE. Motion carried with a vote of 6-0. Voting aye: Lucille Murray, Adam Shelledy, David Helton, Terry Kathcart, Mayor Hendrickson and Valorie Simpson. Old Business Randy Brown informed the Board that the Board of Aldermen had approved the rezoning to R-2 on the Robertson Estates and the preliminary plat. He also stated that phase two (2) of Hamilton for forty-eight (48) additional units was possibly in the works.
